Jordan day 2: Mount Nebo

Mount Nebo is supposedly the final resting place of Moses.
"And Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho." (Deuteronomy 34:1). - If you have no problem believing that, then the only debate is whether this is in fact the same Mount Nebo as mentioned in the Torah.
God allegedly buried Moses himself (he died right after getting to see the Holy Land), so his actual resting place is unknown, but we went to the highest peak, Siyagha, where there is a sort of grave stone for Moses. Also on Siyagha are the remains of a Byzantine church discovered in 1933, now cared for by Franciscan monks. There were some mosaics and a pretty good museum.
The main point of Mount Nebo is that you can see the Holy Land from it - Jericho, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, the River Jordan, etc.
